Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Bantam Press", "we", "us", "our" refers to the business operating as Bantam Press at Jalan SS15/4, No. 17 Subang Heritage Row, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
- "Participant", "you", "your" refers to any individual who enquires about, enrols in, or attends a programme offered by Bantam Press.
- "Programme" refers to any of the educational sessions offered by Bantam Press, including Reading a Small Business Account, the Household Tax Reading Programme, and the Small Family Business Finance Engagement.
- "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any confirmation of enrolment provided by us.
- "Content" refers to written materials, summaries, session notes, and other educational material provided during or after a programme.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry, confirming enrolment, or attending a session, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in a programme. By proceeding, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement under Malaysian law.
3. Nature of Services
Bantam Press provides financial education programmes only. We do not provide accounting services, bookkeeping services, tax filing services, financial planning, investment advice, or any other regulated financial service under Malaysian law. Participants who require those services are advised to engage a licensed professional.
Nothing communicated during a programme constitutes professional advice specific to your circumstances, and should not be relied upon as such.
4. Enrolment and Payment
A place in a programme is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. We will confirm your enrolment and provide details of session dates by email. Payment details and accepted methods will be communicated at the time of enquiry.
All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
If you wish to cancel your enrolment:
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the first session are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days before the first session are eligible for a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the first session are not eligible for a refund, unless Bantam Press has cancelled the session.
If Bantam Press cancels a session, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an equivalent session at a future date.
6. Participant Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Attend sessions at the scheduled times and location
- Engage respectfully with facilitators and other participants
- Not share or distribute written summaries or materials provided to you with third parties for commercial purposes
- Not record sessions without prior written consent from Bantam Press
7. Intellectual Property
All programme materials, session content, written summaries, and teaching frameworks are the intellectual property of Bantam Press unless otherwise stated. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use materials for their own reference. This licence does not permit reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any materials without our written consent.
8. Disclaimers
Programmes are provided for educational purposes only. While we take care to ensure accuracy, we make no representation that materials reflect the most current state of Malaysian tax law or accounting standards at the time of any given session. Participants should verify specific figures, thresholds, and requirements with LHDN or a licensed professional before acting on them.
Outcomes from participating in a programme will vary depending on a participant's existing knowledge, the complexity of their financial situation, and the effort they apply after completing sessions. We do not warrant any particular outcome or level of financial understanding.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Malaysian law, Bantam Press will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from a participant's reliance on programme content, or from any act or omission in connection with a programme, beyond the amount paid for the relevant programme.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses of any kind.
10. Privacy
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia).
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with this Agreement will first be referred to informal resolution between the parties. If not resolved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to the courts of Malaysia.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time you enrol applies to your participation. Continued engagement with Bantam Press following any change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
